Service Technician - Baltimore/DC Metro Area

As a Corsica Technician, you’ll join our Service Team providing level 1 and 2 tech support to our customers at their location, and over the phone or Internet. Additionally, you will work and communicate with other Technicians within Corsica Technologies to ensure that our customer needs are met in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to servicing customers as assigned by the service ticket schedule, supporting customer needs and maintaining a line of communication as those issues are resolved or addressed, performing systems maintenance, resolving issues with IT systems, supporting systems’ general function along with antivirus, backup, anti-spam, and patch software and upgrades, and any tasks assigned to the helpdesk service team as required by operations.

This is a great opportunity for a Technician with existing experience looking to work with a team of professionals and learn new IT skills.

  • 2-Years of IT Professional Services supporting user systems is required
  • Candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Office 365 Systems Administration and Support a plus
  • Certifications and Education a plus
  • Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving history

Typical work hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., but may fluctuate as operations require.

Network Operations Center (NOC) Assistant

The Network Operations Center (NOC) Assistant is responsible for maintaining a strong working relationship with all Corsica Technologies clients by providing Level 1 tech support to both customers and customer systems.

As a member of the NOC Team, the NOC Assistant will also work cooperatively across departments within Corsica to ensure that customer needs are met in a timely, efficient and professional manner.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Servicing customer needs and maintaining an open line of communication as those account issues are addressed through to resolution
  • Performing proactive system maintenance for customers
  • IT issue resolution that adheres to Corsica’s standard operating procedures around communication, documentation and customer reporting
  • General system support, including the deployment of anti-virus and anti-spam software, backups management, patch management and software and operating system upgrades
  • Completing any tasks assigned to the Service team, as required by Operations
  • This is a full-time position based in our Centreville, MD office
  • A minimum of 1 year of professional IT experience or equivalent training required
  • Candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving history

Typical work hours are based on a shift schedule assignment.
