Description: 2022 was an eventful year for cybersecurity. From a highly exploitable vulnerability in the Log4j software library, to an increase in the potential for Russian cyber attacks, to a more commercialized cybercrime landscape, we were continually reminded of the unrelenting need to protect our organizations. Without question, there will continue to be new cyber risks to manage. But these risks have sparked new ideas and conversations around where cybersecurity as an industry is heading, and where it needs to go next. In this session we’ll discuss some key cybersecurity predictions for the year ahead.

Ross Filipek, CISO

As CISO, Ross Filipek provides virtual CISO services for clients and helps them to identify information security risks and implement administrative, procedural, and technical controls to mitigate.

Ross works effectively with both technical and managerial personnel and is a trusted resource for our clients. He brings over 20 years of consulting and network security engineering experience to the table, and specializes in qualitative risk assessment, security policy development, and security architecture design, implementation, and monitoring. Prior to his role as CISO, Ross was a Senior Solutions Consultant and Security Practice Manager with Symplexity, which was acquired by Corsica Technologies. Over the course of his career, Ross has achieved both CCIE Security and CISSP certifications to better serve his clients. Ross also earned an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
